Yesterday a group of us from uni walked the Manly Scenic Walk (Manly Wharf to Spit Bridge). The walk is only 9km but advertised as being between 3.5 – 4.5 hours, and somehow it managed to take a group of us 20-something year olds five hours to complete. This was mainly because we went down every side track possible and stopped at every corner to take photos. The best of my photos are below:

Photos: Hiking Wentworth Falls
Yesterday, I hiked Wentworth Falls and the Valley of the Waters for the second time. It is pretty quickly becoming my favourite one day Blue Mountains hiking track.
This time through we started on the Charles Darwin Walk, down the falls, then down the Slack Stairs, through Valley of Wentworth Pass, up the Empress Falls along the Overcliff Walk and then back along Charles Darwin. Finally, we caught a train to Katoomba walked down to Echo Point at sunset and ended up having dinner at a Pub before getting back into Sydney just before 11pm. A very long but awesome day.
Photos: Waterfall to Otford via The Coast Track
Yesterday nine friends and I “conquered the mountain“. We walked from Waterfall to Garie Beach via the Couranga Track then through to Otford via the The Coast Track then connecting onto The Cliff Track. All up it is about 20km and took us nine hours.

One big long day. A lot of fun. And a good way to get mind off all the bad news from this past week.
Photos: Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary 2 in Sydney
On Tuesday both the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary 2 super cruise ships were in Sydney. I went down to the harbour to get some photos after work. I have held off posting the photos for the last 24 hours as concern for people affected by the earthquake in Christchurch is far more important.
Both ships are absolutely huge. But what I was surprised by is that they were not as big as I was expecting. I think these days man’s quest for bigger, stronger, faster, further is almost complete so we are so used to seeing big things that they don’t take your breathe away as much as in the past. Having said that these ships dwarf everything else.
Photos: Hunter Valley and Central Coast NSW Roadtrip
I haven’t been very well this past week. So to cheer me up two of my friends took me up into the Hunter Valley (where I had to play sober driver). From there we worked our way through to Lake Macquarie and then onto Norah Head. An awesome one day road trip.

Photos: Skillet in Sydney
I can’t hear anything, I can say anything cause I screamed so much, and I smell really bad after too much mosh pit. But Skillet are awesome!
Lizard hunting in Lane Cove National Park
Today I saw more lizards than you could ever poke sticks at, and not a single snake.
A good 11km hike that did take the designated four hours. Although, a lot of time was spent getting the perfect shot.
