I share the pain, it's so hard to truly disconnect - sometimes I find it hard to get some simple AFK stuff done since I have such a compulsive need to check my laptop for new IM, email, tweets, etc.

One of my goals this year is to try and just spend time doing whatever I want, not feeling pressured by what outside influences want and to spend my time not at work doing whatever takes my fancy. :-)

Great thoughts Brad.

At least one of the reasons I think God commanded Israel to have a Sabbath was to make them realise that they are not God. We are humans, and although we think we keep the world running, we don't. God does.

Hi Jess,

I didn't get a photo of the screen.

BUT, one of my friends did, and the photo is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jiruan/6611234923/in/photostream

Congratulations on your engagement, it certainly was rather unique.

Thanks,
Brad

compared with your 2011 goal, it's more attainable, or maybe more abstract? haha, For example, be more financial stable VS be out of all NZ debt~~~

Many people vote for what they want, not what will actually be in the best interest of the country. However many politicians are so busy trying to score points against each other rather than coming up with seriously good debate or policies that will work. Why don't we pay politicians based on a performance vote by their constituents, or pay them less the longer they are in parliment so we only have those who are truly dedicated to making NZ a better place.
